Dear Compass Church Family –

This Sunday is Mother’s Day, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to bring your friends and family to our service. We’ll be sending out a special “e-vite” to you that will allow you to forward it on to friends and family who are looking for a place to take mom this Sunday.

The title of our message is: “Celebrating the King-Making Mom!” Often times Mother’s Day isn’t always the happiest for those of us who have lost our mothers or who have maybe been estranged from them for some time. Even for many potential mothers who have wanted to experience the joy of having a child, this can be a difficult day.

But I want to encourage you that the nature of this message is not to take you back to painful memories or deferred hopes, but to allow God’s Word to create a vision for what motherhood can and should be in our culture! I feel very passionate about this issue, and I can tell you that wherever you are in terms of the issue of motherhood in your life, you and those with you will walk away challenged, changed, and most of all, encouraged.

So let’s take advantage of this opportunity to allow the timeless breath of God’s Word to revolutionize how we live and what we believe. So when you get the e-vite, please forward it to those on your list and invite them to make this Sunday’s service at Compass Church a part of their Mother’s Day celebration.
