Discover Compass

This is THE class if you are new to Compass and want to know who Compass is and where Compass is going! Taught by Pastor Tim, it is a fast paced, informative time that takes a look at Compass Values and Vision, KNOW GROW, GO, Statement of Faith, current ministries, etc. It is offered on a regular basis and is a prerequisite for the Membership 101 Class. Membership 101

This is the class for those who have completed the Discover Compass Class and who are seriously considering official membership. Taught by Pastor Jack this class takes a closer look at the underlying vision to KNOW, GROW, and GO. The Evangelical Free Church of America is briefly discussed as well as looking at how to become more involved at Compass. This class is offered a number of times each year. Home Group Leader/Facilitators

This class is designed for those desiring to lead/facilitate a Compass Home Group. The focus of the class is to share the overall vision of Compass Home Groups and to provide specific direction on how a group can be structures and how a typical group meeting proceeds. This class is offered 2-3 times each year, usually in September and January/February. Baptism Class

This class is a requirement in order to be baptized at Compass church. At Compass, we believe it is important for committed Christ-followers to follow Him by being publically baptized as an indication of one’s commitment to make Jesus Lord of their life. The baptism class is a one hour class, offered 4-6 times each year, usually taught on Sunday morning during the 9:15 am service in one of the classrooms. Christian Basics 101

This is a six-week class, meeting on Sunday mornings, designed to introduce pre-Christian, new-Christian, or even long-time Christians to some vitally important “basics” of being a Christian or Christ-follower. Topics covered are: Being a Christian; Lessons on Assurance; The Bible and You; Jesus and You; Quiet Time and Spiritual Disciplines; and The Holy Spirit. Christian Basics 101 is taught several times each year, usually in the Fall and the Winter/Spring. Christian Basics 201

This is a six-week class, meeting on Sunday mornings, designed to help a Christian take the next step in knowing God and growing their relationship with Jesus. As such, it spans the KNOW and GROW stages of the KNOW, GROW, GO vision strategy of Compass. Topics covered include: God; Prayer; Bible Study; Understanding God’s Will; Stewardship; Witnessing.
